Dear Parents/Guardians, Our school will be hosting a MADD Canada School Assembly Presentation of In the Blink of an Eye on Monday, May 29th, 2017 for grades 9-12. The film being shown this year is called In the Blink of an Eye and it opens with a fictional story that illustrates the tragic consequences of driving while impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. Town Clean-Up Day is Friday!

On Friday, May 12th, NCI will be participating in our Annual Town Clean up in the afternoon. This year, the afternoon is being organized by SWAG (Students Working Around the Globe) and we are counting on all students to support this fun community event and represent NCI well. PAC Donates Prizes to NCIs myBlueprint

NCI would like to thank the Parent Council for generously donating two gift cards for students to win through working with myBlueprint. The program myBlueprint is an excellent site for getting students to explore their interests and career opportunities. It has surveys on learning styles and interests, information on post-secondary schools, career exploration, current job openings, budget calculator, and an excellent resume builder. NCIs fledgling boys baseball team recorded their first ever win over the weekend deafeating Ecole St. Joachim by a score of 8-4.  Tyler Dunn was the winning pitcher.  Congratulations players and coaches!

MY Planning for 2017-2018

We are in the early stages of planning for the 2017-2018 school year. Part of that planning includes reviewing current homeroom lists in Grades 5-8 and finalizing lists for next year before the end of May. The discussions involve the students’ current teachers, band instructor, school student services team, and administration. Staff will consider many factors when preparing balanced classes. The last time I went camping in Souris, Manitoba I went with my cousins. When we were there we saw these peacocks walking around the campsite! I wanted to make a sculpture out of something different.
