The last time I went camping in Souris, Manitoba I went with my cousins. When we were there we saw these peacocks walking around the campsite! I wanted to make a sculpture out of something different. I have some experience with metal-work since my dad works on old cars and has all the tools at home.
Male peacocks use their colourful feathers to show off and impress. It’s the same with us: we dress fancy and improve our appearance to get attention from the people around us. The metal and the lack of colour makes us think about how we value and use decoration.
